Basteria
ProfileBasteria is the scientific journal of the Netherlands Malacological Society. It is published six times a year in two volumes. In Basteria, original articles are published about malacological subjects like taxonomics, systematics, fauna-surveys, (palaeo)ecology, (palaeo)biogeography, the way of life of molluscs, anatomy, book reviews, etc. Articles are reviewed by an editorial board of prominent malacologists and can be offered by members as well as non-members. Basteria is mainly published in English. The name of the Journal is related to the famous scientist of the 18th century, Mr. Job Baster.
EditorsThe editorial staff of Basteria consists of Dr. E. Gittenberger (editor in chief), Dr. B. Kokshoorn (lay-out redacteur/editor) and G.C. Kronenberg (editor). Other editors involved with Basteria are: Dr. F. Wesselingh, Dr. G. Vermeij, Dr. G. van der Velde, Dr. A.C. van Bruggen and Dr. Th.C.M. Kemperman.
